Andrew M. Aran, CFA, Partner
Andrew joined Regency Wealth Management as a Partner in 2010 after a two year affiliation with LPL Financial and over 18 years in Alliance Bernstein’s Fixed Income Division. As a Senior Vice President, he formed and headed Alliance’s corporate bond research group, managed institutional global credit portfolios, a credit oriented hedge fund, and a retail balanced mutual fund. He has also helped manage numerous institutional and retail bond strategies including open end and close end mutual funds and money market funds. His prior experience includes research roles at PaineWebber, Citibank, and Standard & Poors after being a Relationship Manager at The Chase Manhattan Bank.
A visible and respected professional, Mr. Aran has been published in Institutional Investors, authored a case study in Fabozzi’s Bond Credit Analysis: Framework & Case Studies, has been quoted in The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal; has been quoted or interviewed multiple times on Bloomberg and CNBC and has spoken at numerous financial conferences around the world. He also served on Markit iBoxx’s Oversight Committee. He is a member of the CFA Institute, FIASI, and NYSSA (bond and stock analysts associations).
Andrew earned a B.A. from Rutgers University in 1978, an M.B.A. from Fordham’s Graduate School of Business in 1980, and was awarded a Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 1986. He served as President of the Bergen County Chapter of the New Canaan Society from 2011-2015 and still remains active within the organization. Andy is currently a member of the Advisory Board of Street 2 Street and a Trustee for Star of Hope Ministries in Paterson, NJ. He is a member of Grace Church of Ridgewood where he has served on the Elder Board and their finance committee. He is blessed by his marriage to Cindy and with their three children.
Timothy Parker, CFA, Partner
Tim was named a Partner of Regency Wealth Management in 2010 when it became the new brand name of Hudson Capital Management, LLC, the firm he founded in 2004. Prior to Hudson, he provided investment advisory services to individuals and businesses through the Bank of New York’s Personal Asset Management group for five years. Mr. Parker has a deep and broad investing background encompassing over twenty years of business experience including private and public investing across the capital structure of all sizes of companies while working at major banking institutions Bank of America, Bankers Trust, and The Bank of New York. He also managed corporate finance and pension investing activities at advertising and communications firm Young & Rubicam.
He has been quoted in The Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Business Week, SmartMoney, Kiplinger’s Personal Finance, Bloomberg News, Journal of Financial Planning, US News and World Report, Dow Jones Newswires, CFA Institute Magazine, Investment News, and the Star-Ledger. He has also appeared on a Yahoo! Finance video and an essay published in NAPFA Advisor Magazine.
Mr. Parker received a Bachelors of Business Administration degree from San Diego State University in 1989 and was awarded the Chartered Financial Analyst professional designation in 2001. He has served as President of the Greater New Jersey Estate Planning Council and is a member of the CFA Institute, the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors, and the National Association of Estate Planners and Councils. In addition to his membership in the New York Society of Security Analysts, Tim has been active in NYSSA student mentoring programs since 2004.
Tim is a member and former Elder at Cornerstone Christian Church in Wyckoff and enjoys time with his wife Kyong and their two children.
Mark D. Reitsma, CFP ®, CMFC, Partner
Mark joined Regency Wealth Management as a Partner in 2010 after a five year affiliation with LPL Financial and five years with Waddell & Reed as a Financial Advisor. He was given the Financial Planning Excellence Award in 2003, was included in Waddell & Reed’s Circle of Champions for three consecutive years, and received the company’s top award, Crest in 2005.
He received his B.A. from Calvin College with a double major in Business & Psychology in 1995 and graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Financial Planning Certificate Program in 2003. Mark completed the requirements for the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Professional and Chartered Mutual Fund Counselor (CMFC) designations in 2004. He and is also a current member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) and The Greater New Jersey Estate Planning Council.
Mark has enjoyed an active role as Trustee with various Non-Profit Boards throughout the years including past service with The Foundation for Eastern Christian Schools and the NJ/NY Chapter of the Calvin College Alumni Committee. His current Board appointments include the Christian Health Care Center, Eastern Christian School Association, the Bergen County Chapter of the New Canaan Society, and New York City Relief. He is also an accomplished musician and performer with several church related groups, and is a member and former Deacon of Covenant Christian Reformed Church in North Haledon where he currently serves as a Worship Leader. When not working or volunteering, Mark enjoys spending time with his wife Pamela and their four children.
Bryan D. Kabot, CFP ®, AAMS ®, Financial Advisor
Bryan joined Regency Wealth Management in 2013 and started his career twelve years ago with Morgan Stanley in Newport Beach, California and transitioned to A.G. Edwards in Short Hills in 2005 which later became Wells Fargo Advisors. As a Financial Advisor he has worked with a broad range of clients including many multi-generational estates to the Savings Bank of Hafnarfjordur in Iceland. Prior to his financial career, Bryan worked in the legal field with defense litigation and estate planning attorneys. He earned a B.A. from the University of Michigan in 2001, the AAMS® (Accredited Asset Management Specialist) designation from the College for Financial Planning in 2005, and became a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Professional in 2015.
Bryan is Treasurer for Young Life Greater Summit and has served various local organizations including the University of Michigan Alumni Association and Habit for Humanity. He is also an active leader with the development of youth in Northern New Jersey.
When not working, Bryan is an active road biker, runner, classical pianist, and spends time with family in Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Virginia.
Brenda S. Woudenberg, Executive Assistant
Brenda has been with Regency Wealth Management since 2010 and has worked with Mark & Andy for the previous 3 years as an Executive Assistant. Prior to that, she had over 15 years of experience working in a bookkeeping and administrative capacity for several family owned business.
When not working, Brenda enjoys hiking, biking, gardening, and spending time with her husband Doug and their two daughters.
Samantha Cummings, Intern
Samantha is a summer intern with Regency Wealth Management. She is a junior in the honors college at William Paterson University with a dual major in financial planning and accounting. Samantha has been listed on the Cotsakos College of Business dean’s list for all semesters. She is a member of the Accounting Society and the National Society of Leadership and Success. After graduation she plans on becoming a Certified Public Accountant and obtaining the Certified Financial Planner designation.
When not working Samantha enjoys spending time outside hiking, swimming, and going to the beach with her family and friends.
