Regency Wealth Management is pleased to announce that Scott Drown, CIMA®, CAIA®, AAMS®, will assume the role of Chief Compliance Officer, transitioning the responsibility from Managing Partner Mark Reitsma, CFP®, CMFC, AEP®.
Scott joined Regency in May 2026 as Managing Director of Operations, bringing more than two decades of experience in wealth management operations, business leadership, and advisor support. Since joining the firm, he has overseen key operational functions including compliance, technology, client service, reporting, and staff management.
The transition of Chief Compliance Officer responsibilities builds upon Scott’s existing leadership role and allows Mark to dedicate additional focus to serving Regency’s clients and his responsibilities as a Managing Partner and Wealth Advisor.
Mark has served as Regency’s Chief Compliance Officer while helping guide the firm’s growth and commitment to operating with integrity and a strong fiduciary focus. He will continue serving as a Managing Partner and Wealth Advisor and remain actively involved in the leadership of the firm. Mark had this to say about the transition:
“It has been an honor to serve as our firm’s Chief Compliance Officer since 2011, and I am incredibly proud of the regulatory record we have built and maintained during that time. There is a season for everything, and I’m thrilled that our firm has grown to the point where it is time for me to pass the torch to Scott Drown. I have complete confidence that Scott will carry forward our strong culture of compliance as we continue to grow. This transition will also allow me to devote more of my time to what I enjoy most: building strong relationships with our clients and helping them plan confidently for their futures.”
This transition reflects Regency’s continued investment in the people and infrastructure necessary to support the firm, its clients, and its long-term growth. As responsibilities evolve, Regency remains committed to its collaborative team approach and to providing independent, fiduciary guidance to the families and institutions it serves.
