Continuing our “Meet the Team” series, we’re excited to introduce Bryan Kabot, Managing Partner & Chief Operating Officer at Regency Wealth Management. Bryan has been with Regency since 2013, bringing more than two decades of experience in financial services and a steady focus on simplifying complexity for clients.
As Chief Operating Officer, Bryan is the expert behind much of Regency’s day-to-day operations, helping our processes run smoothly so clients can focus less on their finances and more on the things that matter most to them. His work behind the scenes reflects the same qualities he brings to client relationships: thoughtful leadership, attention to detail, and a commitment to making even the most complex situations clear and manageable.
Bryan’s people-first mindset shapes not only how he approaches his role at Regency, but also how he supports and uplifts his family and community. In this Q&A, we learn more about Bryan’s career, perspective, and life beyond the office. Let’s take a look!
Q: How long have you been with Regency?
A: I have been in the financial industry since 2003. I joined the team at Regency in December of 2013, soon after the company expanded their footprint by moving from Midland Park to Ramsey.
Q: What’s the best part about working at Regency to you?
A: It is a privilege to be entrusted with the assets we manage for clients. It is exciting to work together as a team in conjunction with our clients to see their financial goals come into fruition.
Q: What’s something valuable that you’ve learned in your career?
A: The investment and financial planning landscape is constantly changing. While there are concepts in finance that can be applied to most investors, there are individualized plans that need to be constructed and implemented to help each client reach their personal financial goals.
Q: What’s your family like?
A: Heidi (Culp) and I have been married for 15 years after a short engagement of a little over 3 months and finding each other on eHarmony 6 months before our engagement. Heidi, who grew up in Midland Park, was living in Pennsylvania when we met and I was based in Summit, NJ. We have three wonderful children, Anneke, Nathan, and Matthew.

Q: Describe your perfect day.
A: A perfect day for me involves some type of achievement… going on a long bike ride, hike, run, a great round of golf, sailing, or other adventures… finishing a project, or tearing into a new one. It’s great to end the day with a solid dinner with some friends or family.
Q: What are your hobbies?
A: While I enjoy road biking, golfing, playing the piano, and learning about cars, the activity you’ll most often see me doing is watching my children’s sporting events.
Q: What’s your favorite food?
A: I’m of Polish descent, but Italian food is my weakness, and I’m always up for a good cut of prime rib or a perfectly cooked filet mignon.
Q: Where’s your favorite place that you’ve been?
A: My favorite places overlook large, clean blue bodies of water.

Q: What’s your go-to morning beverage?
A: I like to start the day with a good cup of coffee, black or with a little cream.
Q: Have you checked something off your bucket list?
A: I completed the Marine Corp Marathon in 2016. The end of October makes for an ideal time to run a marathon most years, however the temperatures crept up to 80 degrees and the humidity was much higher than desired by the end of the marathon that year.
Q: What are some fun facts about you that people might not know?
A: I enjoy reading legal thrillers and mysteries. John Grisham is a favorite author. David Baldacci is a more current choice.
I lived just a few streets away from Dennis Rodman in Newport Beach, California. He threw wild parties at his oceanfront home. Some of the neighbors were thrilled, while others were not.
I went skydiving for my 25th birthday in California. The unencumbered views were incredible on the way down. I don’t have any desire to do it again, but it was a surreal experience as I watched the ground rush toward me for less than a minute before transitioning into a peaceful suspension above the earth with nothing beneath me but open air.

Q: If you could choose one band/musician to listen to for the rest of your life, who would it be?
A: If I had to listen to only one musician the rest of my life, I would choose Paul Simon. His perseverance in seeking the perfect melody, harmony, and rhythm — combined with musical instruments, styles, and sounds from around the world with an ability to inspire people toward unity — is admirable.
Q: What’s one non-work-related accomplishment you’re proud of?
A: I did a road bike trip from the George Washington Bridge to Philadelphia, over 120 miles, in one day.
Q: What’s something you read/learned recently that grabbed your attention?
A: Over the past years, commentary and articles have critiqued how much time Lionel Messi spends walking on the soccer field versus his time running with estimates around 80% of his playtime. Yet, his role remains vital to a team’s success and ability to win. Sometimes, it’s not how busy a person appears, but how well they study and position themselves for what comes next.
Bryan’s leadership at Regency and his dedication to clients reflect a balance of professional excellence and personal integrity. Whether he’s ensuring the firm’s operations run smoothly, walking a client through a difficult decision, or cheering on his kids at home, Bryan’s steady presence and genuine care are felt by everyone around him.
Regency Wealth Management is deeply grateful for Bryan and the way that he leads our company. We couldn’t do it without him!
